ECCJ appoints Nele Meyer as new director
April 11th, 2023
The European Coalition for Corporate Justice is pleased to announce the appointment of Nele Meyer as our new Director.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in ECCJ’s trajectory. As underlined by Anina Dalbert, ECCJ Chair and Legal Advisor at Public Eye, “We are very happy to have Nele on board because of her corporate accountability expertise, strong legal background and unmatched experience in influencing EU decision-making.”

With over a decade of experience in EU advocacy on business and human rights for Amnesty International, Nele will bring strategic political thinking to ECCJ’s campaigning, advocacy and coalition development. In her previous roles, Nele has been responsible for advocacy work on the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the EU Battery Regulation, the Conflict Minerals Regulation and the EU Non-Financial Reporting Directive, among others.

Building a strong movement in tumultuous times, her objective is for ECCJ to effectively push for companies to be held accountable for their impact on people and the planet and that those who suffered harm will be remedied.

ECCJ is the largest civil society network devoted to corporate accountability, gathering more than 480 NGOs, trade unions and academic institutions throughout Europe.

Nele Meyer succeeds Claudia Saller who has served as ECCJ’s Director since 2018.
