ECCJ Coordinator Jerome Chaplier discussed access to effective remedies for victims of corporate abuse on Belgian radio station La Premiere.
Mr Chaplier, together with Jean-Marc Caudron from Actions Consommateurs Travailleur (achACT), was featured on the 25 October edition of the news show Le Forum.
Three years after Rana Plaza, Mr Chaplier talked about the many obstacles that victims of corporate abuses still have to face when seeking justice in both host states and home states of transnational companies.
The discussion also covered topics like compensation for victims, the responsibilities of states, and the process towards a UN Treaty on Business and Human Rights.
Le Forum runs Monday to Friday, with each edition focusing on a different topic related to society, politics, economic or financial news.
La Premiere is a national French-language radio channel produced by RTBF Belgium, with an audience of 387,370 listeners.
