Swedwatch is an independent, non-profit organization reporting on Swedish business relations in developing countries. Swedwatch covers different sectors and focuses on social and environmental concerns.
Swedwatch is a watchdog, a whistle blower and a lantern. They investigate human rights breaches, blow the whistle when necessary, and push companies to act according to international human rights standards. They also disseminate best practices and hold seminars on these issues, in order to constantly raise the bar in the area of CSR.
Swedwatch’s end goal is reduced poverty and sustainable social and environmental developments in the Global South. A sub-goal is to minimise the negative footprint of businesses, and promote positive change through Swedwatch’s research connected to CSR, human rights and the environment.
